内在缺陷（Inherent Vice）

指货物本身所固有的容易引起损坏的特性。这种特性在正常情况下亦可使货物发生质的变化而受损。例如新鲜水果会腐烂，煤会自燃等均属内在缺陷。因为货物的内在缺陷是一种必然的损失，因而对于此类损失，除非双方订有特别约定，否则保险人不予负责。
